2/3lbMargarine or butter

2ozPine nuts
1tbSalt

1tsCinnamon

This recipe won a culinary prize in 1963 and placed first out of 1,400 entries. Remove outer leaves from artichokes until you get to tender leaves. Remove chokes and put artichokes in cold water. melt margarine. Lightly fry drained and dried artichokes and arrange in a baking dish. Chop onions and grind the meat and fry in the margarine . Add pine nuts, salt, pepper and cinnamon.Fill each artichoke with this mixture.Add some water and Bake in a 350 oven for 1 1/2 hours .
